Superior multi-family residential development in Chicago, IL. The awards recognize outstanding achievements in engineering and architecture on structural steel projects around the country. Structural engineers for the project were Thornton Tomasetti, Chicago. The condominium project is a national winner in the
category of “Projects Less than $15 million,” only one of
three around the country to earn an award in this classification.
Francis Cauffman Announces Completion Of Phase One

RMJM to Design New University Campuses In Libya

firm RMJM, announced that it will design two
new college campuses in Libya. The projects mark the first time U.S.
architects will work in Libya since relations between the two
countries normalized, according to RMJM. The firm is designing a master plan for a 123-acre
branch campus at Bani Walid, approximately three hours inland from
the main campus. The second project will be to design a master plan for a 222 acre branch campus of Al Asmariya University slated to open in three years.
EMCOR Subsidiary Awarded Contract For Water Treatement Facility
9.9.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group, Inc. subsidiary Welsbach Electric will provide the electrical construction services for a water treatment plant in Westchester County, NY. Awarded by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Welsbach Electric will be responsible for the complete electrical installation associated with the construction of the project’s two billion gallon-per-day ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection facility.
