7.31.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group subsidiary, Wasatch Electric, will install the electrical infrastructure for the Montage Resort at Deer Valley in Park City, UT. The project includes the complete electrical system for the resort, which offers condominiums, hotel rooms, meeting rooms, four levels of parking, retail shops, restaurants, swimming pools and a spa. www.EMCORGroup.com

7.29.08 | Bangalore, India | Chandavarkar & Thacker Architects (CnT) collaborated with an engineering consultant using a Revit model to develop the Brigade Rubix commercial complex in Bangalore. Currently under construction on a triangualr site, the team created a design that resembles a giant Rubik's cube to maximize usable space. The design incorporates three interlocking layers consisting of three stories each, with the middle layer twisted 45 degrees. 

7.28.080 | San Diego, CA | Deniece Duscheone of the architecture and design firm S.K.I.N., was commissioned to redesign the interiors of Catalina Island's historic Hotel Metropole founded in 1888. Ms. Duscheone already complete four oceanfront suites and will begin renovations on the lobby and 52 other rooms this fall.

7.28.08 | Nashville, TN | Skanska USA Building Inc. was  named pre-construction and construction manager for the Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, TN. Karlsberger Architecture is providing the design for the hospital and has a goal of Silver LEED certification. The construction phase began in June with a June 2010 expected completion date.

7.28.08 | New York, NY | Swanke Hayden Connell Architects (SHCA) was awarded a contract by the Department of Design and Construction for the City of New York for exterior building rehabilitation and ADA accessibility upgrades on three health centers located in landmark quality buildings.  Completion is slated of October 2008. The facilities are:

• Astoria District Health Center, Astoria, Queens
• Bedford District Health Center, Brooklyn
• Fort Green Health Clinic, Brooklyn
