Mancini Duffy Project Receives 2008 Outstanding Project Award
7.20.08 | New York, NY | Mancini Duffy received the
2008 Outstanding Project Award from The Greater New York Construction
User Council for its Downtown Community Center for Manhattan
Youth. The
facility is the first dedicated community center in the organization's
20-year history.
In addition to designing the project, Mancini Duffy worked closely with
the NYC Economic Development Corporation to secure public and private
funding sources for the project and with the construction manager to
evaluate costs and to achieve the best possible pricing without
sacrificing the design.
EMCOR Subsidiary Earns Contract For Hospital In Ontario
7.17.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Comstock Canada, received the contract for work at the London Health Sciences Center’s Victoria Hospital in
London, Ontario.
Comstock's scope of work will include the full mechanical systems, including
design and installation of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, medical gases and
laboratory piping systems, and automation controls.
PS/IS 295 Now Complete
7.17.08 | New York, NY | PS/IS 295, a new Pre-K through 8th grade
school in Queens Village, designed by Swanke Hayden Connell Architects (SHCA), has been completed. The project, undertaken on behalf of the New York
City School Construction Authority (SCA), will include major assembly spaces such as the gymnasium, cafeteria and a 300-seat auditorium for community use.
EMCOR Subsidiaries To Provide Work For Renewable Energy Corporation
7.16.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group announced that two subsidiaries, Dynalectric Company in Oregon and Contra Costa Electric in California, began work on the electrical infrastructure for Renewable Energy Corporation's solar grade polysilicon manufacturing facility in Moses Lake, WA. The two companies are providing the electrical systems and process instrumentation and controls for the project's fluid bed process.
