EMCOR Subsidiaries To Provide Work For Renewable Energy Corporation

7.16.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group announced that two subsidiaries, Dynalectric Company in Oregon and Contra Costa Electric in California, began work on the electrical infrastructure for Renewable Energy Corporation's solar grade polysilicon manufacturing facility in Moses Lake, WA. The two companies are providing the electrical systems and process instrumentation and controls for the project's fluid bed process. 

Gowan Set For Houston's Westin Hotel Project

7.10.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group's subsidiary, Gowan, Inc., will design and install the mechanical infrastructure for The Westin Convention Center Hotel in Houston, TX. Gowan will utilize state-of-the-art 3D modeling to design and installation of HVAC and plumbing systems throughout the 425,000 square feet of space of The Westin Convention Center Hotel, which consists of 27 floors, including 269 hotel rooms, 65 private condos, and 5 floors of meeting rooms.

Portman Consortium Breaks Ground On Incheon Tower In South Korea

7.9.08 | Atlanta, GA | Portman Holdings, in partnership with Samsung C&T Corporation, Hyundai E&C and SYM-Associates, broke ground on the Incheon Tower in Seoul, Korea.  The mixed-used project, built on re-claimed land from the Yellow Sea, and on target to become the second tallest skyscraper in the world, is scheduled for completion in 2014.
