NYS Homeland Security Project Awarded To Swanke Hayden Connell Architects
6.10.08 | New York, NY | Swanke Hayden Connell Architects (SHCA), in conjunction
with Cameron Engineering, was awarded a contract to design the new $190
million New York State Center of Innovation and Excellence in Homeland Security
in Bethpage, NY. The facility will house a main computer and
communication complex, approximately 20 research cells, a modeling and
simulation lab and digital theater as well as an integration and demonstration
center.
EMCOR To Everhaul DC Steam Tunnel
6.6.08 | Norwalk, CT | EMCOR Group announced that its EMCOR Government Services business will perform a major overhaul on a seven mile steam tunnel, which serves more than 100 government buildings, in Washington, DC. It will perform a range of integral services
relating to the tunnel including designing, fabricating and installing 75
ventilation fans and required steel support structures.
Tobron Wins National Grid Projects

million purchasing commitment from National Grid (formerly KeySpan
Energy) to furnish their new Ravenswood - Waltham, MA facility, along
with a total restack of five floors at MetroTech Center in Brooklyn. The
Waltham, MA project is a LEED CI project designed by Sasaki Associates,
Watertown, MA, to be furnished in Herman Miller's
new Vivo
Interiors workstations, along with Geiger Tablet private
offices, new Tu filing and storage and Aeron seating.
