11.19.08 | Washington, DC | The American Society of Interior Designers announced plans to launch a new ASID National Conference in conjunction with the NeoCon World's Trade Fair, 2009, June 15-17. The venture is made possible through a partnership with Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. As part of the ASID National Conference at NeoCon, ASID members will benefit from: networking, professional development, and exhibitions for products and services.

11.14.08 | Chicago, IL | Christine Brady and Melissa Szeredy received Richard R. Smith Memorial Scholarships from ASID-IL. Each was awarded a $1,000 check to offset fees for tuition, books and supplies for the current school year. The Richard R. Smith Memorial Scholarship competition is based upon excellence in design.

11.12.08 | Washington, DC | ASID Foundation partnered with Rebuilding Together to focus on rehabilitating the houses of low-income active and retired members of the military. Through the partnership, the ASID Foundation will help provide safe, sustainable and accessible housing for those who have given much, yet cannot afford the cost of home maintenance and, in many cases, are physically unable to modify or maintain their homes.
