ASID Foundation Announces New Partnership

11.12.08 | Washington, DC | ASID Foundation partnered with Rebuilding Together to focus on rehabilitating the houses of low-income active and retired members of the military. Through the partnership, the ASID Foundation will help provide safe, sustainable and accessible housing for those who have given much, yet cannot afford the cost of home maintenance and, in many cases, are physically unable to modify or maintain their homes. AIA Selects Two Communities For Community Assistance Program

11.11.08 | Washington, DC | The AIA Center for Communities by Design selected two communities to receive technical assistance under the Sustainable Design Assessment Team program in 2009.
  • Orange, MA will receive a plan for revitalizing the existing built environment and deteriorating infrastructure.
  • Port Angeles, WA will receive assistance with creating an aesthetically pleasing tourist destination. 
SDAT brings together architects and other professionals from across the country to provide a roadmap for communities seeking to improve their sustainability.
