AIA To Release Six Documents Including BIM Hands-On Tool

10.3.08 | Washington, DC | AIA will release six AIA Contract Documents on October 17. The documents, collectively called the 3.5 Release, include a Building Information Modeling (BIM) exhibit, as well as two new Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) agreements, two new Design-Build agreements and a Scope of Services document. AIA Asks Congress For Tax Incentives

10.3.08 | Washington, DC | AIA is encouraging congress to extend tax incentives for energy efficiency. With Congress poised to leave Washington for the year, the American Institute of Architects urges congress to pass a long term extension of the energy efficient commercial building tax deduction, a federal tax incentive for energy efficient commercial design and construction. IIDA NY To Hold Quilt Auction

9.19.08 | New York, NY | IIDA NY will hold its first annual Quilt Auction on October 16. The event will take place at Scandinavia House, Volvo Hall, 58 Park Avenue, NYC, 6:00 pm. The quilts were hand crafted by members of the New York A & D community to benefit Furnish-a-Future, a program which provides free furniture to formerly homeless families.
