Save The Date - ASID Design Awards - October 10

8.7.08 | Chicago, IL | The ASID Design Awards Gala will be celebrated on Friday, October 3, at the Chase Auditorium, 10 S. Dearborn St., Chicago, IL.  The theme for the fifth annual celebration is Curtain Call. The events begin with a 6 pm red carpet reception followed by a 7 pm "Show of all Shows" awards ceremony and ending with a 9 pm A-List after hours party. First, second and third places winners, Best of Show and awards in all 17 categories of entries will be presented.

IIDA Announces Kansas City Leaders Breakfast

2008 AIA N Y State Convention To Convene Sept. 25

7.31.08 | White Plains, NY | The AIA New York State Convention will be held in White Plains, NY, September 25-27. The theme is: Practice, Practice, Practice: Future, Integrated, Small Practitioner, bringing into focus the practice of today and the quickly evolving future. The Opening Keynote Luncheon and Honor Awards Presentation on Thursday, September 25 features keynote speaker George H. Miller, FAIA, Partner, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners Architects and 2009 AIA National First Vice President/President-Elect. Events for the three day convention include:

Sustainable Design Assessment Team Issues RFP for 2009 Program

7.31.08 | Washington, DC | AIA's Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) program is requesting proposals from community applicants for 2009. The SDAT is a  program that brings together architect-led multidisciplinary teams to work with community leaders and decision makers to develop a vision and framework for a sustainable future by providing technical assistance and process expertise. ASID And Interiors & Sources Magazine Announce Bloom Awards

7.30.08 | Washington, DC | ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers, in partnership with Interiors & Sources magazine announce the inaugural year of the Bloom Awards and is calling for entries by Sept. 15, 2008. An award dedicated to recognizing the achievements of sustainable products in interior commercial design, the new program will choose a product winner in five categories: furniture, flooring, textiles, lighting and innovative materials.
