7.3.08 | Minneapolis, MN | Karim Khemakhem was appointed the new interior design director for the Middle East office of Ellerbe Becket. The company is presently working on projects such as University Hospital in Dubai's Healthcare City and Sidra Medical and Research Center in Doha. Mr. Khemakhem will establish and lead its new Middle East Interiors Practice from its Dubai office. Prior to accepting his new position, Mr. Khemakhem was as an interior project designer in the firm's Minneapolis office. Mr. Khemakhem is fluent in Arabic and is familiar with the culture, having been born in Tunisia and later living in Saudi Arabia.

7.3.08 | Jasper, IN | Kimball International, Inc. appointed  Mona Hoffman to the position of Vice President of Marketing for the Company's Kimball Office brand. Ms. Hoffman joined Kimball International in August 1994, eventually advancing to Vice president and General Manager of National Office Furniture. Ms. Hoffman returns to Kimball International after time away to pursue personal interests and begin Rough Edges, a company for concrete surfaces, sinks, and furniture.

7.2.08 | Orleans, IN | Dan Cogan was promoted to Regional Vice President, Eastern Sales Area for Paoli. In his new position, Dan will be responsible for growing Paoli's revenue in the Eastern Sales Area. Mr. Cogan joined Paoli in February of 2007 and previously led government sales.

Most recently, Ms. Wickoren was President of MIC SERVICES in Minneapolis and prior to that was Senior Vice President of Sales & Design at Target Commercial Interiors, a division of Target Corporation. 

7.1.08 | New York, NY | Louis Rondinello was named Assistant Vice President in the New York office of TranSystems, a transportation consulting company. Mr. Rondinello comes to TranSystems with over 18 years of experience as a project manager and senior civil engineer for aviation and transit projects. His technical background includes planning analysis and design of energy power systems.

7.1.08 | New York, NY | Joe Nacci joined Tobron, a long standing dealer for Herman Miller, as its A&D Account Director, where he will be a liaison between Tobron and New York City architectural and design firms. Mr. Nacci has worked in all aspects of the interior design profession for 27 years.

7.1.08 | Spring Lake, MI | Rune Akselberg will join izzy, August 1, as Vice President for sales of izzydesign branded products as well as products offered by izzy's strategic alliance partners, HAG and Nemschoff. Mr. Akselberg has 18 years of office furniture industry experience and most recently was managing director for HAG in the U.K. and Ireland.  Mr. Akselberg also was president of HAG, Inc., responsible for the North American market.
