7.1.08 | Spring Lake, MI | Rune Akselberg will join izzy, August 1, as Vice President for sales of izzydesign branded products as well as products offered by izzy's strategic alliance partners, HAG and Nemschoff. Mr. Akselberg has 18 years of office furniture industry experience and most recently was managing director for HAG in the U.K. and Ireland.  Mr. Akselberg also was president of HAG, Inc., responsible for the North American market.  

6.27.08 | New York, NY | Susan S. Szenasy, Editor-in-Chief of Metropolis received the 2008 Medallion of Honor Award from the New York Chapter of the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA). The award recognizes her efforts during 22 years as editor in chief for having informed, taken measure, stimulated, and evangelized on the potential and power of Architecture, Design, and Culture. Other award winners include: Karin Bacon, Lydia Rose, Renzo Piano, Santiago Calatrava, Ricardo Lagorretta, and Enrique Norten.

6.26.08 | Holland, MI | William W. Bundy was named CEO of Trendway Corporation by the Trendway Board of Directors.  Mr. Bundy will continue to carry the title of President that he was given in 2007. Mr. Bundy joined Trendway in 2002 as Vice President and General Manager of the Systems Business Unit and in 2005 became Executive Vice President. Prior to joining Trendway, he was Senior Vice President at Miller SQA.

6.26.08 | Zeeland, MI | Brian Walker, President and CEO of Herman Miller will be a guest on CNBC series, 'The Business of Innovation' Episode will air Monday, June 30, 2008, at 9 p.m. EST. In the final episode of CNBC's five-part series, "The Business of Innovation," Mr. Walker, will discuss the company's global business model and strategy for driving innovation within new and existing markets. The episode also will highlight some of the company's iconic and recent products and a number of Herman Miller's West Michigan facilities. The series is hosted by Maria Bartiromo. Mr Festenstein has more than 25 years of industry experience and is known for his work in legal workplace planning and design.  Prior to joining NELSON, Mr Festenstein served as aPrincipal and Project Director for Gensler in Chicago.

6.26.08 | Chicago, IL | Jennifer L. Barnes, Vice President and Director of Interiors in RTKL's Baltimore office, was named Facility Planning and Design Forum Advisor for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She will begin her two-year term in July 2008. She previously served as President of the Baltimore Chapter and was instrumental in its merger with the Washington Metro Chapter, thereby creating a new Mid-Atlantic Chapter.
