5.14.08 | New York, NY | Diane Hoskins, AIA, LEED AP, and Rives Taylor, AIA, LEED AP, were appointed 2008 Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. The AIA noted Mr. Taylor and Ms. Hoskins commitment to architectural education, training and practice. Ms. Hoskins is the executive director of Gensler and the founding leader of Gensler's global Workplace Task Force. Mr.Taylor is a lecturer and teacher at Rice University and a sustainability design director in the Gensler Houston office. Mr. Taylor also helped found the Houston chapter of the USGBC. 

5.14.08 | Orangeburg, NY | Debra Shecter joins Arc-Com Fabrics, Inc. as Director of Marketing.  Ms. Shecter will be responsible for development of marketing strategies and initiatives for the company.

5.14.08 | Denver, CO | Kimberly Blanco became the Senior Project Manager for IA Interior Architects in the Denver, CO office. Ms. Blanco has over ten years of experience in corporate and hospitality design. She is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and has served as an adjunct professor at the Art Institute of Colorado. 

5.14.08 | Stamford, CT | Lee A. Wright, a principal for Perkins Eastman is retiring.  Mr. Wright came to the firm 10 years ago when the staff of SMS Architects, where Mr. Wright was president, joined the firm. Over the course of his career, Mr. Wright has been instrumentalin establishing and building the clubs andhospitality practice and in designing and managing the construction of schools at all levels.

5.13.08 | Holland Landing, Ontario | Gretchen de Gouveia was named Regional Manager for Inscape Corp. for the Orange County, San Diego and Inland Empire market. Ms. de Gouveia spent the past five years as a sale representative with Space Co., Kiika and Humanscale. 

5.9.08 | New Haven, CT | Carl Gustav Magnusson, industrial designer, was invited to be a visiting critic for the second time at the Yale University of Architecture, furniture design course review under Professor and architect Peter de Brettville.

5.9.08 | San Francisco, CA | Eric Olsen, architect and college professor, was the winner of the 2008 Next Generation Prize. Responding to the competition'’s theme of water, the Mr. Olsen was awarded $10,000 for his project, Solar Water DisinfectingTarpaulin, a vessel for both transporting and purifyingwater.

5.9.08 | St. Louis, MO | Susan Mitchell-Ketzes and Dan Mitchell were elected to the HOK Board of Directors for a one year term. Ms. Mitchell-Ketzes leads the Workplace Strategy Practice for HOK in Atlanta and is the managing principal of HOK Chicago. Dan Mitchell is also a managing principal for HOK Chicago and oversees the day-to-day management of the practice.

5.9.08 | Green Bay, WI | Rod Ganiard, president of KI, left the firm "to pursue other interests." Mr. Ganiard joined KI from The HON Company two years ago as Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing and was later named president. Dick Resch, Chairman and CEO will retain his posts for the time being.
