5.6.08 | New York, NY | John V. Magliano will retire as CEO of Syska Hennessy Group, Inc and Gary Brennen and Cyrus Izzo have been appointed Co-CEO's of the firm. Mr. Magliano will remain as Chairman of the Board until the end of 2008.  A firm advocate of mentoring and team advancement, Mr. Magliano established the company’s  Engineer in Training (EIT) program and is one of the founding members of the ACE Mentor program, a non profit group that providesmentoring for high school students in the field of architecture, construction and engineering.

5.6.08 | Grand Rapids, MI | Peter Wege, retired Steelcase executive, will receive the Edward J. Frey Sr. Distinguished Achievement Award from Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes at the annual JA West Michigan Hall of Fame event May 29 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, 187 Monroe Ave. NW for his service to the community in the areas of education, philanthropy, religion, social service, arts and science.

5.2.08 | Washington, DC | Kay Sargent, Principal for IA Interior Architects, will lead a seminar titled 'Integrated Security Design' on May 1 at the IFMA Industries Forum, an event being held at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center Hotel in Denver, CO, from April 30 to May 2, 2008. Ms. Sargent will share emerging trends regarding integrated security inthe built environment. She will also discuss the types of securityrequired, and review common security breachesand how to avoid them.

5.2.08 | Passaic, NJ | Sue Adams joined S.A. Bendheim as a sales account manager. Ms. Adams will be responsible for sales of Bendheim's specialty glass products and Bendheim Wall Systems channel glass. She will also manage customer service relations with a number of New York City architects and designers. Prior to joining Bendheim, Ms. Adams served as Vice President of DIRTT sales at Lane Office Furniture, NYC.

5.2.08 | New York, NY | Franck Hodelin, nationally known for his appearances on ABC television and FoxNews, joined The Levine Calvano Furniture Group as an Account Executive calling on the A&D community. Mr. Hodelin received a degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute's School of Fine Art in 1990. Since then, he has worked in all areas of interior design, including residential, commercial and hospitality, for such notable firms as Bob Patino & Company, Dorothy Draper & Company and Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel Architects. In 2004, Franck ventured out on his own, establishing his namesake design firm, Franck Hodelin & Company.

5.2.08 | Washington, D.C. | Gregory Y. Chang, AIA, was named Ellerbe Becket's National Director of Healthcare. He succeeds Jon Buggy, AIA, who is focusing full-time on managing the firm's Minneapolis office. Mr. Chang is based in Ellerbe Becket's Washington, D.C., office where he has worked for the past 10 years as a Principal and Director of Planning.
