8.14.08 | Chicago, IL | The Frank Lloyd Wright Showroom by Copeland Furniture will open October, 2008 on the 16th floor of the Merchandise Mart Design Center. Since 2006, Copeland Furniture has held the exclusive license from Mr. Wright's heirs, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, to build his designs. The collection, with Mr. Wright's Prairie Style elements, includes dining room, bedroom and living room furniture.

8.14.08 | Kalamazoo, MI | Landscape Forms announced that its second version of the Lakeside Bench from the Landmark Collection is now available in FSC-certified ipe. The Lakeside Bench, offered in a Picket Fence style or the Garden Fence style, were designed in response to designer's request for benches containing FSC Chain of Custody certified wood with standard lead times. 

8.14.08 | Chicago, IL | AGATI Furniture received the  contract to furnish the new library at Penn State's Dickinson School of Law, University Park campus. The library will feature Baja side and arms chairs, Antrim tables, Brown tables and carrels, as well as tables and accessories custom designed by the architects.  All tables feature data and power connections. AGATI is also building custom credenzas that will house computers and flat screen monitors. 

8.13.08 | Milwaukee, WI | Visa Lighting worked with the HGA design team to provide performance sconces, illuminated cubes and decorative custom pendants for the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI. The link between architectural design and the museum’s exhibitsis most evident in the Visa custom pendants, when visitors are met by the silhouetteof a motorcycle once owned by Evel Knievel and the Visa Lighting custom cylinderpendants.

8.13.08 | Anderson, SC | Glen Raven Custom Fabrics was named a member of the South Carolina Environmental Excellence Program that recognizes facilities exercising environmental leadership in the state. The company was noted for its recycling program that prevents more than 400 tons of materials from going into landfills annually. The facility manufactures Sunbrella performance fabrics for awnings, marine and furniture applications.

8.8.08 | Green Bay, WI | KI and Pallas Textiles treated the local A&D community to the aromas and tastes of Tuscany at a culinary event in Auburn Hills, MI. Guests were invited to Trevarrow for a Tuscan cooking lesson from Chef Joseph Gilbert. The students received hands-on instruction, and got to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Along with full stomachs, guests left the event with prizes and gifts, including a handbag made from the Pallas Textiles’ design of their choice.

8.8.08 | Denver, CO | ­Source Four Inc., a regional provider of commercial furnishings, announced that one of the manufacturers it represents was honored with the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) Editors Award for Multiple Production on the MYTO cantilever chair by Nienkamper. Made entirely of plastic and 100% recyclable, the chair is the joint creations of designer Konstantin Grcic, Italian manufacturer Plank, and chemical company BASF.
