8.8.08 | Green Bay, WI | KI and Pallas Textiles treated the local A&D community to the aromas and tastes of Tuscany at a culinary event in Auburn Hills, MI. Guests were invited to Trevarrow for a Tuscan cooking lesson from Chef Joseph Gilbert. The students received hands-on instruction, and got to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Along with full stomachs, guests left the event with prizes and gifts, including a handbag made from the Pallas Textiles’ design of their choice.

8.8.08 | Mount Laurel, NJ | Teknion Corporation announced that Teknion LLC, its U.S. division, was awarded a contract with Novation, Irving, TX, a contracting services company for VHA, UHC and Provista, to help manage and reduce supply costs to both the hospital and healthcare markets. 

8.8.08 | Denver, CO | ­Source Four Inc., a regional provider of commercial furnishings, announced that one of the manufacturers it represents was honored with the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) Editors Award for Multiple Production on the MYTO cantilever chair by Nienkamper. Made entirely of plastic and 100% recyclable, the chair is the joint creations of designer Konstantin Grcic, Italian manufacturer Plank, and chemical company BASF.

8.6.08 | Moncure, NC | Uniboard, a subsidiary of Pfleiderer AG, purchased the Moncure, NC facility for ATC Panel and will now operate as Uniboard USA LLC, Moncure Plant. The plant is a manufacturer of particleboard and thermofused melamine, producing over 156 million sq. ft. annually. Uniboard will be investing over $120 million in the upcoming year to install on the Moncure site a state-of-the-art medium density and high density fiberboard (MDF/HDF) line. www.uniboard.com/en/
