6.20.08 | Green Bay, WI | KI will feature a unique display that contrasts the conventional college library with the library of the future at the American Library Association's conference, June 28-July 1, at the Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA.  KI’'s exhibit includes furniture typically found in a college library space, characterized by rows of bookshelves, reading tables, chairs and study carrels. It also features an expansive display of furniture for new library spaces.

6.19.08 | East Greenville, PA | Knoll received a Premier Performance Award from the Premier Healthcare Alliance's Purchasing Partners unit. Knoll is one of 54 from a pool of more than 800 Premier contracted suppliers to receive the Performance Award, which recognizes the efforts of contracted suppliers to meet or exceed Premier members' service expectations for healthcare facilities. 

6.19.08 | Holland, MI | Haworth, Inc. is hosting this summer America’'s Favorite Architecture photography exhibit at its corporate headquarters. Based on a public poll, which was conducted in conjunction with the AIA's 150th Anniversary in 2007, the survey was conducted to initiate a dialogue between the architectural profession and the public about the significance of architecture in our lives and communities.  Featured architecture includes the Empire State Building, first in the survey, and structures in the nation’'s capital, which dominated the top ten.  The exhibit is open to the public and available for viewing on the following dates:

6.19.08 | Carson, CA | Lonseal, Inc. took home the silver level Best of NeoCon award in the surfacing category for LonElements Sahara, a flooring and vertical surfacing product. Inspired by the sun-baked textures and natural, earth-toned colors of the desert, LonElements Sahara was also recognized with a Citation of Excellence from Buildings magazine's annual Product Innovation Awards in the workplace aesthetics category. www.lonseal.com

6.17.08 | Chicago, IL | HON Company, Muscatine, IA, with an office and education showroom on the eleventh floor of the Merchandise Mart, sponsored Detroit-based SmithGroup’s participation in Canstruction®, a design/build competition that took place during the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2008 in Chicago June 9 – 11. The SmithGroup team showcased their talents by designing a sculpture of Chicago’s historic EL train made entirely out of canned foods.  At the close of the exhibition, all of the food used in the structure – nearly 5,000 cans – was donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

6.17.08 | Minnetonka, MN | NatureWorks LLC is expanding its Ingeo fiber activities further in the USA with an Ingeo Master Licence Agreement (MLA) signed with Palmetto Synthetics LLC of Kingstree, SC. Palmetto is using Ingeo to produce fiber to supply National Spinning for spun yarn for sports socks marketed by REI in 2007.

6.17.08 | Passaic, NJ | S. A. Bendheim was named a Continuing Education Systems (CES) registered provider by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Participation in each one-hour program is free-of-charge and earns industry professionals one Health, Safety and Welfare learning unit (1 HSW LU). Bendheim's programs are available to architects, designers, and other building professionals as in-office presentations where the company has local representation. Programs will be held regularly at Bendheim's New York City Showroom, located at 122 Hudson Street in TriBeCa.
