6.4.08 | Spartanburg, SC | The Ethisphere Institute named Milliken & Company to its second-annual Worlds Most Ethical Companies for the second year. More than 10,000 companies on six continents were reviewed to recognize fewer than 100. The list of the Worlds Most Ethical companies will be featured in the Q2 issue of Ethisphere Magazine. 

6.4.08 | Holland, MI | Haworth, Inc. unveiled the Art of Friendship during opening celebrations of its renovated global headquarters on May 21, 2008. The art collection consists of pieces contributed by 14 of Haworth's partners from a variety of disciplines.  Artworks will be showcased throughout the LEED-NC Gold building. 

6.2.08 | Spring Lake, MI | izzy and its parent company JSJ Corporation completed the acquisition of Jami Inc. and its four furniture brands: Harter, Fixtures Furniture, Zoom Seating and ABCO Office Furniture. Each of the four brands new to izzy will continue to pursue its independent brand position. Chuck Saylor, founder and president of izzy, will oversee the izzy business as chairman and chief executive officer. Gregg Masenthin, previously president and chief executive officer of Jami Inc., will serve as president of izzy.

5.30.08 | Zeeland, MI | Herman Miller again was selected by IndustryWeek magazine for its annual listing of the 50 Best U.S. Manufacturing Companies. Herman Miller is the only contract furniture manufacturer to appear on the list, which is available in the publication’s June 2008 issue. The magazine factor's in revenue growth and profit margin over the past three years. They also evaluate a three year performance in four other financial ratios. 

5.30.08 | Atlanta, GA | INVISTA, received recertification of ANTRON carpet fiber as an Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS).  ANTRON carpet fiber recertification was based on a comprehensive cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment (LCA) conducted by Boustead Consulting Ltd.
