4.25.08 | Irvine, CA | National Office Furniture opened its West division sales office and showroom in Irvine, CA, at 35 Tesla, Suite 300. The 3.000 sq. ft. showroom is LEED pending and will offer a resource area for fabric, finish and laminate options.

4.24.08 | Portland, OR | Knoll, the Oregon chapter of IDSA, the Art Institute of Portland and the local Design Within Reach joined together for a design charrette titled, "Gadgets and Gears."  Tracy Wymer, Knoll Senior Director of Research, Strategy and Media began the evening with a presentation on the research Knoll has done on the workforce of the future (Generation Y) Following the presentation, 10 teams worked together to find solutions for our mobile gadgets.

4.23.08 | Chicago, IL | AGATI will furnish the new and renovated Star Commons and Law Library Wing at Duke University School of Law in Durham, NC. The Law Library will feature Brown tables and carrels as well as customtables as specified by the architect. 

4.23.08 | Crossville, TN | Crossville earned a 2008 Kitchen and Bath Award for Building Blox, a collection of Porcelain Stone tile created in collaboration with Robert A.M. Stern Design. Building Blox comes in three patterns and a coordinating solid, all available in nine colors. 

4.23.08 | Spartanburg, SC | Milliken & Company launched a second partnership to harvest methane as an alternative energy source. Spartanburg County approved the initiative on the eve of Earth Day 2008, April 21. Spartanburg County will be responsible for construction and operation of an enhanced methane extraction system at the Wellford Landfill and for a gas pipeline from the landfill to Milliken'’s Dewey plant near Inman, SC.  The landfill gas containing the fuel methane, a naturally generated by-product of landfill decomposition, will be purchased from the County.
