Dani Leather Names Marta Fumei National Director of A&D Sales

10.29.10 | Dani Leather USA, manufacturers and importers of fine Italian upholstery leathers, recently filled two key posts in its North American organization.

Marta Fumei, the company’s new national director of A&D Sales, represents the fifth generation of her family in the leather business. She comes to Dani USA after extensive training at Gruppo Dani in Italy. Previously, she spent two years in sales and product development at ALMA Home, a London-based manufacturer of leather furniture and upholstery.

Customer Service Manager Kimberly K. Gang has been with Dani USA for two years, and represents her family’s fourth generation in the leather trade.

Both individuals will work with Dani sales representatives and showrooms throughout North America.

The rigid, lightweight, solid panel is made from 100% cotton, post-consumer, recycled denim fabric that is cut in to small pieces and mixed with a non-formaldehyde adhesive. The boards can be made from other fabrics as well, and colors and textures can be varied. The boards are flame-retardant, water-resistant and are comparable in terms of quality to standard particle board.

PPG Architectural Glass Shares Study Results

1.17.08 | Pittsburgh, PA | PPG, a producer of glass products for commercial construction commissioned a study by the Architectural Energy Corporation to compare the energy performance of low-e glass to several commonly specified high-performance architectural glasses. The results indicate that glass can save architects and building owners up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in upfront capital cooling equipment costs when it is specified instead of competing products. The study also shows that CO2 emissions can be reduced by thousands of tons over its lifetime in a commercial building which has specified glass.
