SUPERCRIT #6: Leon Krier Presents Poundbury
9.25.08 | London, UK | SUPERCRIT #6 presents the Poundbury master plan by Leon Krier. Mr. Krier was commissioned by the Prince of Wales in 1988 to design a master plan for a new village on the outskirts of Dorchester in Dorset. It is visited by town
planning delegates from around the world and is an influential model
for house builders, urban designers and transport engineers across the
UK, yet the model for what some have called the perfect village raises
vexed questions of authenticity and historicism. The discussion takes place on Friday, October 31, 10:00-12:30 in Room M421, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, London.

symposium an exhibition by the same name, at the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of The Cooper Union, will open featuring original illustrations from
Architects Draw, a book written by Professor Sue Ferguson Gussow. The symposium at the Cooper Union, the Great Hall, 7 East 7th Street, NYC, will look at drawing in architectural education.
