Annual K-12 Design Work Exhibition, June 13

6.7.08 | New York, NY | The Center for Architecture Foundation, 536 La Guardia Place, NYC, will celebrate young designers with an exhibition on June 13, 5:30-8:30 pm, of K-12 models and drawings from Learning by Design:NY and from youth programs at the Center for Architecture. Cook+Fox To Discuss Gut Renovation Project

Designers Saturday Planned For September 26 & 27

6.7.08 | London, UK | Designers Saturday, based on an annual event held in the 70's and 80's will take place September 26-27 in London when furniture manufactures will open their London showrooms to the design community. Many of the showrooms will be newly refurbished or at new locations and each one will have its own unique theme with a variety of fun and educational things to see and do. Architecture: Designs for Living: State of the Art in Emergency Department Design

The theme represents the broad range of building typologies that shape our communities and urban design that defines our city. The theme is also envisioned as our response to the Mayor's PlaNYC, which anticipates the need for sustainable growth to accommodate one million new residents. A panel of four architects with expertise in the design of Emergency Department design will present their recently built projects, highlighting their approach to design, problem solving, and fulfilling the mission of emergency response for their clients.
