Fair comes to the Jacob K. Javits
Convention Center, 655 West 34th Street, NYC, May 17-20. More than 25,000 interior designers,
architects, retailers, designers, manufacturers, representatives,
distributors, and developers will be attendance and more than 600 exhibitors will display contemporary furniture, seating,
carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall
coverings, accessories, textiles, and kitchen and bath for residential
and commercial interiors.
"New Amsterdam" Presents Contemporary Dutch Design
5.6.08 | New York, NY | Nieuw Amsterdam—a
coalition formed by a group of New York’s leading design retailers and
Dutch design companies—will present exhibitions featuring work by The
Netherlands’ leading contemporary designers and companies. These
exhibitions will be complimented by presentations from leading Dutch
companies at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). The event will take place from May 17 to May 20, 2008 at seven locations throughout the city. Six of the city’s leading design retailers, including Cite, Matter,
Property, M2L, Moss and Suite, will showcase work by young Dutch
innovators.
Denver IIDA Pret-a-Porter 2008 Planned For May 16
5.6.08 | Denver, CO | Denver IIDA will hold its fourth annual Prêt-A-Porter Fashion
Show, Friday, May 16 at Mile High Station, 2027 West Colfax Ave., Denver, CO. A cocktail reception begins at 7:00 pm and the fashion show begins at 8:00. Thirty seven teams from interior design firms, architectural offices and design schools will use architectural finish materials to design garments for the fashion show. Peter Wege Receives Distinguished Achievement Award

California Sustainability Mayday 2008 Convenes May 13

Moss Goes Dutch For New York Design Week

Kay Sargent to Speak at IFMA Industries Forum 2008

Humanscale's Faces In The Wild Art Auction
5.2.08 | New York, NY | Humanscale’s eighth annual Faces in the Wild art auction and design
competition will take place on May 13, 2008, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., in
the company’s New York City showroom located at
11 East 26th Street, 8th Floor. Artists and designers—including Yves Behar, Black + Blum, Scott
Henderson, Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders, and Scott Wilson of MNML—have
created and donated approximately 50 pieces of
animal-inspired artwork. Humanscale will double and donate all winning
bids to World Wildlife Fund. Humanscale founder and CEO Bob King
has served on WWF’s National Council since 1999. As a company,
Humanscale is dedicated to environmental sustainability and continually

Lightfair International Debuts Student Outreach Program

I Saloni 2008 Attracts Record-Breaking Turnout

Material ConneXion To Present "Taction" By Fabric Images During ICFF

exhibition designed by Fabric Images
Inc., a Chicago-based, worldwide supplier of printable and
non-printable fabric architecture, during the 2008 International Contemporary
Furniture Fair. Fabric Images, Inc. will create a unique
architectural installation of Instincts,
a new line of poly-dimensional sensory textiles. The exhibition, which will
also celebrate the opening of Fabric Images, Inc., NYC, will be on view at
