Lightfair International Debuts Student Outreach Program

5.1.08 | Las Vegas, NV | Lightfair International will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, May 26-30, 2008. The event will feature 500 exhibitors of architectural and commercial lighting products and over 200 hours of educational courses. Students wishing to be involved with the conference have numerous opportunities with the debut of the LFI Student Outreach Program. I Saloni 2008 Attracts Record-Breaking Turnout

5.1.08 | Mian, Italy | I Saloni 2008  reports a record number of visitors- –348,000- an increase of 29% over last year. 210,000 attendees came from abroad, pointing to a market that’ is increasingly more open. 2,450 exhibiting companies covered an area of 230,000 square meters, showcasing the latest in domestic furnishing, in various styles, ranging from classic to modern to designer at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition.

Material ConneXion To Present "Taction" By Fabric Images During ICFF

5.1.08 | New York, NY |Material ConneXion will host Taction, an exhibition designed by Fabric Images Inc., a Chicago-based, worldwide supplier of printable and non-printable fabric architecture, during the 2008 International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Fabric Images, Inc. will create a unique architectural installation of Instincts, a new line of poly-dimensional sensory textiles. The exhibition, which will also celebrate the opening of Fabric Images, Inc., NYC, will be on view at Material ConneXion at 127 West 25th Street, 2nd Floor, from May 14-June 15, 2008. 


dkVOGUE Premieres Danish Design Film Series At ICFF

4.29.08 | New York, NY | dkVOGUE will premiere a series of nine documentary films detailing both historical and contemporary icons of Danish architecture and design and their landmark projects. The film collection will be presented as part of an exclusive installation in the Danish Pavilion of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), May 17-20 at the Jacob K Javits Center, 655 West 34th Street, NYC. The centerpiece of the dkVOGUE film series is Life By Design, a feature-length exploration of how Danish design has evolved from the “Golden Age” of the 1950's and 1960's through the present day.

Design Awards Winners' Symposium: Architecture Winners

Ettore Sottsass At Friedman Benda Gallery
