4.28.08 | New York, NY | Friedman Benda Gallery presents Archetypes, the second in a cycle of exhibitions devoted to the work of Ettore Sottsass (1917-2007) in all its complexity and historical relevance. Archetypes features glass, marble, and furniture made from 1965-1995. The exhibition will be on view May 1 – June 21 at Friedman Benda, 515 West 26th Street, NYC. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, May 1 from 6:00-8:00pm.  

4.28.08 | New York, NY | Barry Friedman Ltd. will present an exhibition of a new limited edition and unique works by American designer Wendell Castle from May 1 through June 21, 2008. The exhibition will open with a reception for the artist on May 1 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Barry Friedman Ltd., 515 West 26th Street, NYC. A fully illustrated book, published by Barry Friedman Ltd and Friedman Benda will accompany the exhibition.  

4.26.08 | White Plains, NY | i Saloni WorldWide New York will take place May 17-May 20 at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 655 West 34th St. 50 companies will exhibit during the event, showcasing the best of Italian design. 

4.25.08 | Basel, Switzerland | Shanghai-based Contrasts Gallery will present three individual exhibitions in its booth at Design Miami/ Basel 2008. Gallery Director Pearl Lam has chosen to highlight work by Studio Makkink & Bey, Shao Fan and Maarten Baas. Design Miami/ Basel takes place at the Markthalle, Viaduktstrasse 10, Basel, Switzerland and will be open to the public June 3-5, 2008 from 11:00am – 7:00pm.
