6.4.08 | Dallas, TX | Wilson Associates captured three awards in the 2008 HD Awards, presented by Hospitality Design (HD) magazine. The firm won a "Judges" Award for Best Guestroom for the Westin Guangzhou in China. The firm was also awarded "Finalist - Resort Design" for the  10.2 million sq.ft. Venetian Macau, also in China, and "Finalist - Casual Restaurant Design" for the design of the Cafe at the Mulia Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. The winning designs are published in the May/June 2008 issue.

5.29.08 | Charleston, WV | Swanke Hayden Connell Architects, NYC, was selected by the state of West Virginia to design a rehabilitation plan for Holly Grove Mansion. The building retains a significant amount of historic fabric but suffers from antiquated mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, structural deficiencies and unsympathetic architectural modifications resulting in an incongruous appearance of the building interior.
