4.11.08 | New York, NY | AIA New York Chapter announced the winners of its inauguaral Building Type Awards, a biennial effort to recognize excellence and innovation in specialized design fields from established and new practitioners from New York City and Massachusetts. Co-sponsored by AIANY and the Boston Society of Architects, the awards featured Educational Facilities, Sustainable Projects and Urban Design. 4.10.08 | Bethlehem, PA | Spillman Farmer Architects was selected for the SteelStax arts, media and cultural complex, to be constructed on former Bethlehem Steel land, in Bethlehem, PA. Spillman Farmer Architects will work wth SteelStax principals, ArtsQuest and PBS 39 to create a connection with both the physical and emotional history of the site. 

4.1.08 | Philadelphia, PA | Daroff Design Inc + DDI Architects was commissioned to design interiors for three multi-family projects in Philadelphia. The new commissions are:

• The Murano Condominiums, scheduled to open late spring 2008.
  

• The Parc Rettenhouse Condominiums, scheduled to open later this year.
  

• 1706 Rittenhouse Square, scheduled to open in 2010.
