2.5.10 | Washington, DC | Edward J. Kodet, Jr. was inaugurated as 2010 Chancellor for the AIA College of Fellows. Mr. Kodet is the founder and president of Kodet Architectural Group, Ltd. in Minneapolis, MN. His responsibilities as Chancellor include presiding at the annual business meeting, Executive
Committee meetings and Convocation of Fellows.
He also will lead the Latrobe Prize, a $100,000 grant for
research on sustainable design in the urban environment.

2.5.10 | Boston, MA | The Isabella Stewart Gardner
Museum revealed the final plans for an addition
designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano. Mr. Piano designed the new wing to stand 50 feet behind the
existing building and to rise no higher. A first floor with transparent
glass walls will afford views of Fenway Court, the museum gardens,
and the adjacent Emerald Necklace park system by Frederick Law Olmsted. The museum seeks LEED certification and is expected
to open in early 2012.

2.4.10 | New York, NY | Perkins+Will will receive a 2010 National
Building Museum Honor Award for its commitment to civic
innovation in design, construction, and education throughout its 75-year
history. It is the first time an architecture firm has
been selected as an Honor Award recipient since its inception in 1986. Among Perkins+Will's many achievements is its leadership in sustainable
design. Perkins+Will was the first multi-office firm to commit to the
2030 Challenge, pledging that all projects be designed for carbon
neutrality by the year 2030.

2.2.10 | New York, NY | Perkins Eastman joined the medical staff and leadership of NYU
Langone Medical Center in recognizing the completion of an Outpatient Surgery facility. Located at 333.E. 38th Street, NYC, the facility is designed for the needs of patients undergoing specialized orthopaedic surgical procedures that
do not require an overnight hospital stay. It includes operating rooms, ultrasonic decontamination machines, computerized
steam sterilizers for surgical hardware, and carbon dioxide devices for
sterilizing more delicate items.

with The Emerging New York Architects Committee of the American Institute
of Architects New York Chapter and the Structural Engineers
Association of New York to sponsor a competition. A Call for Proposals has been issued to design and construct an architectural pavilion for the 2010 summer season on Governors Island. The City of Dreams Pavilion will be a gathering place for people to meet,
learn about the arts programs on the island, and enjoy a performance or lecture. Registration deadline is February 8, 2010.

1.28.10 | Dubai, UAE | Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, has opened. At an official height of 828
meters, the 160-story tower rises taller than the
previous record-holder, the Taipei 101 in Taiwan. The Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest
building according to all three criteria of the Council on Tall Buildings
and Urban Habitat: height to architectural top, height to tip, and
highest occupied floor.

and his team in the United Kingdom leading to the creation of a UK office and a team of professionals known
as The Collective UK. The Collective provides
architectural interior, product and workplace design solutions which
focus on supporting people both pragmatically and qualitatively. Mr. McGee has more than 25 years of industry experience having led workspace projects for Amazon, BP, Exxon mobil, and Hewlett Packard. Ms. Caan has held senior
positions in three major US firms, including Skidmore Owings and Merrill,
where she was an Associate Partner and Director of Design.

Eastman, the Board of Directors, and the faculty of the Concordia International School Shanghai celebrated the completion of a new high school. The
high school is a six-story complex with academic, athletic, and administrative functions, offering sustainability features. It is the fourth phase in a series of planning and design projects
completed for the school by Perkins Eastman.
