7.16.10 | East Greenville, PA | Knoll, Inc. reported second-quarter 2010 net sales of $192.3 million, a decrease of 4.9% from 2Q09 sales but a sequential increase of 9.7% over 1Q10 sales. Net income was $8.7 million, up 7.4% over last year's second quarter and 295.5% over this year's first quarter. CEO Andrew Cogan attributed "a double-digit increase in orders" to new products such as Generation by Knoll continuing to gain momentum as well as marketing efforts such as Knoll Essentials that drove improved day-to-day activity.

Nurture Graduate Research Fellowship from the American
Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers and Nurture by Steelcase The fellowship assists new investigators in the
research aspect of their education by providing seed money for new areas of
research. Ms. Chia-Hui Wang is a
doctoral student in the School of Architecture, University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Wang’s research will focus on finding the best practice of designing
nursing stations.
