IIDA TX/ OK Chapter Announces 2010-2011 Chapter Board

7.1.10 | Dallas, TX | The International Interior Design Association Texas Oklahoma Chapter instated its new Chapter Board on July 1, 2010.  All Board members will be formally inducted on July 15 at their Chapter Retreat in Michigan. John LeCroy DuBard, Parkhill Smith & Cooper takes over as president with Megan Ebert on board as president-elect.

IFMA Announces 2010-2011 Executive Committee And Board of Directors

7.1.10 | Houston, TX | The International Facility Management Association announced its 2010-2011 executive committee and board of directors. Beginning July 1, Francis J. Kuhn will serve as the new chair.  Rounding out the executive committee are Kathy Roper, IFMA Fellow, associate professor of the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Building Construction Program, and Marc S. Liciardello, vice president of corporate services at ARAMARK. The new members of IFMA’s 2010-2011 board of directors are:

  • Michael D. Feldman, deputy executive director at Los Angeles World Airports
  • Joachim W. Hohmann, managing partner of Consultants Circle

Antron Carpet Fiber Product Innovation Awards Announced

HOK Leads Climate Workshop At Shanghai World Expo

7.1.10 | San Francisco, CA | HOK traveled in June to sister city, Shanghai, to commemorate "San Francisco Week" at World Exp 2010 Shanghai. San Francisco is the only U.S. city exhibiting at the World Expo, and HOK is the sole architectural practice joining the city's delegation. The events included a symposium, "Global Voices, Local Choices: Creating Low-Carbon Communities," led by HOK Global Director of Climate Action, Stan Wrzeski, and an exhibition of HOK's design for transforming the old San Francisco Mint into a 21st century mixed-use cultural center.

Teknion VP Joins Interior Designers Of Canada Board of Management

The appointment follows the recent restructure of Interior Designers of Canada, which moved from a seven-member organization of provincial associations to an association representing nearly 3,000 individual interior designers across Canada.
