The opening coincides with the 75th anniversary of the company, and is intended to introduce the "ideology of a new era of design," at the same time honoring the traditions upon which Artek was built. The company, currently owned by Swedish capital investor Proventus, also plans small scale production in the United States.
3.24.10 | Sarasota, FL | Vista System International added a new series of laser cut pictograms that can be attached to the sign frame. The client chooses any icon or logo to be featured, either previously produced or custom designed. The chosen design is then laser cut from an aluminum sheet and attached to the appropriate sign extrusion.

The facility will provide space for new chemical and biomedical engineering departments and will complete the science quadrangle on the Modernist campus. Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2010 with expected completion for the 2012 Fall semester. The university, which already has buildings certified LEED Platinum and Gold, anticipates that Institute Hall will achieve a rating of LEED Silver or higher.
