Full-year FY09 sales totaled $1.656 billion, a 33.1% decrease from FY08 sales of $2.478 billion. Total net loss for FY09 was $6.4 million, compared to net income of $45.5 million in FY08.

call to architects to submit their plans for the design of a
$480 million expansion project. The expansion would triple the building's
current gallery and public space. SFMOMA
has raised $250 million of its $480 million campaign to expand
the museum and grow the endowment. The Board of Trustees will make the final project decision in
fall 2010.
