The project was named the "2009 Project of the Year" by the EPA's Landfill Methane Outreach Program. The program recognizes landfill methane capture projects for innovation in generating renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The EcoLine TM Project converts landfill gas into a medium BTU quality gas, which is then used to produce environmentally clean electric power for both the University of New Hampshire and the local electrical grid.

Located at 333.E. 38th Street, NYC, the facility is designed for the needs of patients undergoing specialized orthopaedic surgical procedures that do not require an overnight hospital stay. It includes operating rooms, ultrasonic decontamination machines, computerized steam sterilizers for surgical hardware, and carbon dioxide devices for sterilizing more delicate items.

It is the state's highest workplace safety and health award, from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Spring Lake 171st facility employs 450 workers, and manufactures Herman Miller's filing and storage products. During the review, the team conducted four formal and 26 informal interviews. The team found their safety and health management system effectively addresses the scope and complexity of the hazards at the site.

No tools, no stripped out screw holes, just a simple insert, slide, and turn. It passes BIFMA testing when installed properly on a typical laminate top, and can be chromed or finished with a Dyecoalt process that simulates wood grains.
