Kanepi Innovations is a wireless infrastructure company for the development of energy conservation and building controls technology and Energy Solutions International is a manufacturer of energy-efficient luminaires. Together, the two companies will develop ESI's next generation of wireless controlled lighting fixtures using Kanepi's technology. The new fixtures will reduce energy usage, at a minimum, by 70%. Kanepi Innovation's wireless "mesh" system was designed to
create a wireless technology canopy within the ceiling grid.

9.1.09 | Washington, DC | The National Council for Interior Design Qualification, Inc.
clarified the eligibility requirements for interior
designers with an accredited degree in architecture. Accredited designers who have over 5,280 hours of qualified design work experience after graduation are eligible to take the NCIDQ Examination and earn the NCIDQ Certificate.
The spring 2010 examination will be given April 9-10 in more than 60 locations in the United States and Canada. The application deadline is December 1, 2009.

is a factory-applied film for MDF (Medium Density Fibre board) or

Nicholas Riddle from the U.S. designed the Prio Paper Cast made from woven paper for accidents sites and disaster situations when there may be a scarcity of resources. The Prio Paper Cast can be affixed in less than two minutes with no
prior experience. It features easy-to-read ID straps for triage, with
instructions to medical personnel and doctors and nurses can administer medicine and injections
without removing the supportive structure. The James Dyson Award is a global design award that asks entrants to design something that solves a problem.

Strategies at Parsons The New School for Design. One of five thematically organized schools at
Parsons, the School of Design Strategies addresses the intersection of
cities, services, and ecosystems through undergraduate programs in
Integrated Design, Design and Management, and Environmental Studies. Mr. Mitrasinovic has over 15 years of teaching and curriculum development
experience. He currently serves as co-chair of The New School Academic
Committee on Urban Programs.
