Renovations will be made to the floor's main room, replacing traditional broker booths with modern trading desks, new screens, and workspaces. The refurbishment plan will continue over the next 18 months. The finished space will likely resemble NYSE Euronext's new NYSE Amex options trading floor—also designed by Perkins Eastman.

It is the first year that all the work will be from Kendall. The Governor's Lansing Residence was designed by American architect,
Wallace Frost, and built in 1957 for Howard and Letha Sober, who
donated it to the state in 1969. The artwork will be on display from August 2009-July 2010.

Trados Metal features the same tri-arc arm design accented by fully upholstered seats and backs as found on the existing Trados wood frame series. The 8,000 sq. ft. operations center building includes a raised floor data center and a geothermal system that serves as a cooling source and contributes to energy efficiency. Building materials contained more than 30% recycled content and native prairie landscaping, which does not require watering, was restored on 90% of the site.
