Reed Elsevier To Sell Interior Design Magazine

8.20.09 | New York, NY | Reed Elsevier announced that it will sell off Interior Design Magazine. The company also announced that U.S. executive Tad Smith is leaving as CEO of Reed Business Information-U.S., effective immediately. CFO John Poulin is now acting CEO. Reed Business Information Global CEO Keith Jones revealed a plan to divest a bulk of the company's U.S. publications. RBI will hold on to Reed Construction Data US & Canada, RS Means, Variety, Marketcast, LA411 and Buyerzone, Jones said. The rest of the U.S. titles will be sold.

Perkins Eastman To Design Next Generation Trading Floor For NYSE Euronext

Renovations will be made to the floor's main room, replacing traditional broker booths with modern trading desks, new screens, and workspaces. The refurbishment plan will continue over the next 18 months. The finished space will likely resemble NYSE Euronext's new NYSE Amex options trading floor—also designed by Perkins Eastman.

Kendall College To Display Student And Faculty Artwork At Governor's Residence

8.20.09 | Grand Rapids, MI | Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University student and faculty artwork was selected for display at the residence of Michigan Governor, Jennifer Granholm. It is the first year that all the work will be from Kendall. The Governor's Lansing Residence was designed by American architect, Wallace Frost, and built in 1957 for Howard and Letha Sober, who donated it to the state in 1969. The artwork will be on display from August 2009-July 2010.

IFMA Announces New Religious Facilities Community of Practice

ACT Data Center Receives LEED Platinum

The 8,000 sq. ft. operations center building includes a raised floor data center and a geothermal system that serves as a cooling source and contributes to energy efficiency.
