Archival Collection was originally introduced two years ago as part of the 60th
anniversary of KnollTextiles.
- Nova, designed in 1969 by Wolf Bauer, is part of a group of drapery fabrics that combined organic patterns with classic modernism.
- Quartet is a drapery fabric created by Suzanne Huguenin in 1963. Bold and colorful,
the pattern is printed in repeats of four, one-foot wide horizontal bands of
color.
- Plain Line was designed under the directon of Florence Knoll in 1953. The linen fabric steered away from the prevailing textiles of the day, which included brocades and chintz. The 2009 version of this
cloth combines a dry linen ground printed with a top coat of color and made of 97% linen with 3%
polyurethane on the face.
- Cornara is part of a fabric line from 1974-1978. The
textured solid is made with 75% wool, 20% silk, and 5% nylon.
