10.30.08 | Muscatine, IA | HNI Corp. began reducing employee numbers, according the the Muscatine Journal. The company will lay off up to 100 employees and is prepared to go up to 100 more. HNI is the parent company for Hon Co. and
Allsteel, which jointly employ about 4,000 people
in Muscatine. The company, earlier
this month, reported a 55% drop in its
earnings for the first three quarters of its
