Created by New York architectural practice, ArandaLasch, the space is located at the intersection of NE 39th Street and 1st Court in Miami’s Design District. The design of the structure includes a tall and spacious light-filled interior and a breezeway around the perimeter for a subtle transition between inside and out.

10.30.08 | Muscatine, IA | HNI Corp. began reducing employee numbers, according the the Muscatine Journal. The company will lay off up to 100 employees and is prepared to go up to 100 more. HNI is the parent company for Hon Co. and
Allsteel, which jointly employ about 4,000 people
in Muscatine. The company, earlier
this month, reported a 55% drop in its
earnings for the first three quarters of its
fiscal year, which will end Dec. 31.

10.30.08 | New York, NY | Perkins Eastman opened its newest office in Boston,
MA.
The new office will be led by Principal John R.A. Pears and Associate
Principal Jana G. Silsby.
Both join Perkins Eastman from the Boston-based architecture firm of Steffian
Bradley Architects. During Mr. Pears' 20 years of service at SBA, he
participated in its international expansion into both the Chinese and European
markets. Ms. Silsby was the founding Principal-In-Charge of Sustainable SBA.

Oct. 16 press conference during IFMA’s World Workplace 2008 Conference

between the organizations on services, standards, research,
professional development and advocacy. The agreements also expand upon
the benefits available to the membership of each organization.

The $2.5 billion development includes 12 new restaurants, Club Nokia (a 2,300 person venue), the Conga Room, Luck Strike Lanes, ESPN Zone, the ESPN West Coast broadcast headquarters and The GRAMMY Museum.
