The $2.5 billion development includes 12 new restaurants, Club Nokia (a 2,300 person venue), the Conga Room, Luck Strike Lanes, ESPN Zone, the ESPN West Coast broadcast headquarters and The GRAMMY Museum. 10.27.08 | Kennesaw, GA | The Mohawk Group's Chicago showroom achieved a gold LEED-CI certification. The recently renovated
and expanded space was designed by Ken Wilson, founder and principal of
Washington, DC-based environmental firm Envision Design. Some of the sustainable features by the numbers include:
- More than 90% of construction waste recycled
- 100% of energy requirements are offset through green energy credits
- 99% of demolition, construction and packaging debris were diverted to
uses other than a landfill
- More than 85% of all wood for the construction and furniture were
sourced from well-managed forests and certified by the Forest Stewardship
Council;
