Trendway Has Banner Year

Center For Architecture Showcases One Bryant Park

AIA Launches “Walk the Walk” – A New Sustainability Campaign

1.23.08 | Washington, DC | The American Institute of Architects launched Walk the Walk, a campaign to educate, promote and encourage sustainable design among consumers, business owners and architects. It is the goal of the AIA to make all buildings carbon neutral by 2030 and to help the design and construction community reduce the consumption of fossil fuels by 50% in buildings by 2010. To achieve its goals, the AIA offers two environmental toolkits:

COTE Top 10 Green Project Awards Deadline Extended

Detroit Cadillac Centre Project To Begin In 2009

1.23.08 | New York, NY | New York and Rome-based OPUS Architecture and Design Studio was selected to design the $150 million Cadillac Centre in Detroit composed of two 24-story towers of sculpted metal and glass rising from a 12-story base. Designed by architect Anthony Caradonna, the contemporary steel and glass center, to be located on Campus Martius, begins construction in the fall of 2009. The linked towers will contain 84 apartments or condominiums, a green "living" roof, a 30,000 sq. ft. market, a multi-screen cinema, 800 parking spaces, and more than 100,000 square feet of space designed for a major retailer. The complex will occupy an entire block and connect to the landmarked 1927 Beaux Arts Cadillac Tower.

TioxoClean Garners Certifications From SCS

IFMA Hosts Fundraiser

1.22.08 | Houston, TX | The Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Chapter of the International Facility Management Association held its annual Black and White Ball to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and the IFMA Foundation Scholarship Fund. Nearly 250 facility managers attended the event which raised, during a silent auction, $2500 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and $2500 in raffle money for the IFMA Foundation Scholarship Fund. Attendees also donated more than 300 toys for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

The Mohawk Group Recognized For Exceptional Standards

PB Announces New Appointments
