Frank Delfino Named President Of Worldwide Markets

DIRTT For Whales

1.9.08 | Calgary, AB | DIRTT Environmental Solutions is supporting the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society which is actively making a stand against the annual Japanese whaling ship expedition. In addition to the alarmingly high quota, the Society is concerned that the whalers are targeting humpback whales for the first time in 40 years. Called Operation Migallo, named for an albino humpback sighted in the area, the Sea Shepherd ship, renamed the Steve Irwin, uses reconnaissance helicopters to find the whaling ships before they can fire upon the whales. An employee at DIRTT who also worked on the donation team, shared her concerns for the high cost of supporting Operation Migaloo with Mogens Smed, founder of DIRTT. Skanska Completes Fourth Project For Reading Hospital

Designed by IKM Incorporated, the 62,000 sq. ft. facility will house the hospital's nursing and medical technology programs, as well as science laboratories, tiered classrooms, computer facilities, student and faculty lounges and study rooms and a 300-seat auditorium. Skanska soon begins construction of its fifth project for the hospital, a $10 million, 36,000 sq. ft. MRI expansion and renovation.
