DIFFA/Chicago 22nd Annual Gala/ June 12
3.10.10 | Chicago, IL | DIFFA/Chicago
(Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS/Chicago) announces its 22nd
annual Gala – Believe: 2010: See: 2020: Perfect Vision: An
AIDS Free World – to be held at The Palmer House Hilton Hotel in downtown
Chicago on Saturday, June 12, 2010.
The Believe: 2010: See: 2020 Gala promises to light the way towards a future without AIDS. The Gala will be co-chaired by Rick Gilman of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP; Lynn Fordon of Steelcase; and Richard Cassis of sparc, inc.
The evening’s theme of a future without AIDS is inspired by many in the design industry who have provided drive, passion and determination to find a cure. Guests will arrive to the Gala in a present-time mode but through the magic of theatrics staged by Kehoe Designs, Total Event Resources and sparc, inc. will be transported to the future via a seismic swing of lighting and ambiance. The future-world transition will take place as special effects literally light the way toward the future, featuring laser technology, media graphics and a swooping runway that will soar from the podium to a giant media screen. The experience will bring each guest into a perfect vision of a future without AIDS. “By the evening’s end, we will all be believers in the promise of a cure,” said Richard Cassis, principal at sparc, inc.
Regarded as the social kickoff of the NeoCon tradeshow, the DIFFA/Chicago Gala is well underway in its outreach to attract partner sponsors. To date, the Gala will recognize Herman Miller as the evening’s Legacy Sponsor and Steelcase as the Presenting Sponsor. Contract magazine is the Gala’s National Media Sponsor.
Other committed partner sponsors to date include Haworth; Office Concepts, Inc.; Mesirow Financial; Corporate Concepts, Inc.; OEC Business Interiors; Geiger; Harrington College of Design; Kayhan International; Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, and Systems Unlimited, Inc.
