The new Spirit Custom Color Collection features a combination of transparent and translucent color interlayers together with various glass surface options.The new Spirit Collection custom color capability allows the application of an unlimited number of colors, from manufacturer paint chips to computer-matched colors on fabrics and prints. The interlayers can be provided in several degrees of opacity to accommodate different privacy and aesthetic requirements. They can also be enriched with a white pigment creating a more translucent, opalescent effect. The color interlayers can be combined with fire-polished, etched, and patterned glasses from Bendheim's stock of over 2,000 decorative glass varieties.
The resulting array of design options and daylighting capabilities make the glass well-suited for a variety of commercial and residential applications, including partitions, ceilings, balustrades, elevator interiors, and lighting fixtures.

The Spirit Custom Color Collection comprises safety-laminated glass, providing added sound control benefits. The glass can also be tempered for special applications. It ranges from 1/4 to 3/4-inches in thickness, and is available in large sheet sizes without the long lead times normally associated with custom products.Bendheim manufactures the Spirit Custom Color Collection using sustainable practices, employing a highly energy-efficient tempering furnace and an environmentally sound lamination line. The specialty coloring process results in a VOC-free product. Select Spirit Custom Color Collection varieties can employ up to 60% recycled glass, including 40% post-consumer material. The Collection can contribute points to LEED in EA Credit 1 "Optimize Energy Performance", MR Credit 4 "Recycled Content", and IEQ Credits 8.1 and 8.2 "Daylight & Views."
