Schréder Lighting USA Unveils Architectural Lighting Catalog
6.16.09 | Chicago, IL | To offer a broad range of Schréder brand products
to specifiers for commercial exterior lighting applications, Schréder
Lighting USA has unveiled its new Architectural Lighting Catalog.
Schréder Lighting USA, the newest of the 40-member Schréder Group
G.I.E. located in 36 countries on four continents, is marketing the
Schréder brand in the fields of Public Lighting, Floodlighting,
Tunnel/Transit Lighting, Industrial and Urban Lighting.
"Our new catalog reflects the essence of Schréder products, featuring the right balance of European upscale design and flair," according to Cedric Van Den Haute, Schréder Product and Brand Manager, "While doubling as a functional tool with the required technical data for lighting specifiers, sales agents and other industry professionals. It's very fluid, with an easy-to-read layout-One Page, One Idea. It's clean, simple and sophisticated and displays products with strong emphasis on high-level lighting performance and photometrics in a nice package."
The new Schréder Lighting Catalog features brochures on 15 different product families-- a comprehensive portfolio of product specific brochures divided by families and application-driven. The catalog is divided into several categories-Architectural (pole mounted), Inground/Accent Products, Flood Lighting, Poles & Brackets, and Telemanagement. The company plans on doubling the catalog within the next three years-- the binder format allows the firm to update product information as quickly as the Schréder product range is expanded. Currently, teaser pages are included to promote upcoming families.
The Schréder Lighting Catalog is the very first catalog that uses the LCS Classification System---which is an IESNA (The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America) standard method of evaluating lighting levels produced by a luminaire and classifying the light into three classifications: forward lighting, back light and uplight. The standards define light distribution and optical control of roadway and area lighting luminaires by the number of zonal lumens expressed as a percentage of the total lamp lumens. These classifications allow designers to choose the proper product to control light spill, light trespass, and sky glow. The catalog can be used as educational reference book to explain photometric performance, IP ratings for fixture tightness, and clearly detailed charts to specify application-specific light distribution, lamping, colors, voltage, poles and other mounting options.
Application images include such famed installations as The Roman Coliseum in Italy; The Brandenburg Gate in Berlin; The Parliament Building in Rio de Janiero, Brazil; The Presidential Palace in Warsaw, Poland; The Millau Bridge between Barcelona, Spain and Paris, France; and The European Parliament Building in Brussels, Belgium. In addition, all reference pictures feature captions that can be used to order the lighting configurations that are shown.
The Schréder Catalog was printed with an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified Printer guaranteeing that it was printed on paper product mixed sources from well-managed forests and other controlled sources.
